No Gallantry medals for jawans

In a first time, Chhattisgarh has not received any Police Gallantry Medals for the bravery and courage of its soldiers. The quota for the state remained zero. Despite the fact that in the past year, secuirty personnel displayed immense courage and gunned down some of the most dreaded Naxalites. The soldiers killed approximately 286 Naxalites. The jawans were involved in several anti-Naxal operations, achieving significant success against the Maoist menace. Yet, not a single soldier from the state received a medal. What is the reason for this? Who is responsible? Several questions are moving around the general public. Some of the Superintendents of Police (SPs) had prepared a list of brave soldiers and sent it to the Police Headquarters (PHQ) for the Gallantry Medal. PHQ also sent these lists to the state’s Home Department. It was supposed to be sent to the Central Home Ministry by the Home Department, but it could not happen. That’s why the soldiers from this state were deprived of this medal. However, the actual reason must be investigated. It must be revealed that who is actually really responsible for it.

Protection of dacoits

Chhattisgarh is a peaceful state. Neither Dacoits gave any place here, nor did anyone ever take responsibility of protecting them. But now, the state government’s Tourism Minister, Rajesh Agarwal, has said that he will provide security to dacoits as well, or rather, that he will now take care of the security of dacoits. Is this justified? What will be the impact of a statement from a responsible minister of the state government on society? Has anyone even imagined this? Well, the minister is new, that’s understandable, but the minister being irresponsible is absolutely unacceptable. In a statement which went viral on social media, Minister Rajesh Agarwal has seen saying that our Home Minister treats self-styled godmen with utmost respect. Treating sled-styled godmen with respect is understandable. But providing security to dacoits is something that is hard to digest. And when a responsible minister of the state makes such a statement, the matter becomes serious. Well, only Minister Rajesh Agarwal tells that he is providing security to which dacoits, but after his statement, the government is facing severe criticism. A dacoit is someone who illegally seizes the money, property, life, livestock, or other belongings of another person. They loot businesses and trades through violence. Now the minister should explain whether he will provide security to such individuals?

Political masters Brijmohan and Mahant

These days, Raipur MP and former minister Brijmohan Agrawal is continuously putting the state government in the balustrade. Right now, only he knows Why is he doing so?  Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant very cleverly exposed Brijmohan Agrawal in front of the media. Mahant told the media that Brijmohan Agrawal has good relations on both sides. Agrawal maintains his relationships, although Mahant did not specify which relationships he (Brijmohan) is maintaining. Dr. Mahant also said that he is a master chess player and knows very well when to give checkmate. But the question arises, whom does Brijmohan Agrawal want to defeat? Who is in his target? Incidentally, Dr. Charan Das Mahant also has very cordial relations with BJP leaders. Is Mahant also making his move? Who is Mahant’s target? A BJP leader or a senior leader from his own party? Well, both Brijmohan Agrawal and Dr. Charan Das Mahant are seasoned politicians and master chess players. Their connections are indeed with both parties. Whom these two leaders want to defeat will be revealed in the near future.

Education Minister sets wrong example

Education Minister Gajendra Yadav is currently the subject of much discussion. The controversy surrounding the Jamboree event had barely subsided when a new controversy erupted regarding the kind of education being imparted by Education Minister Gajendra Yadav. During Road Safety Week, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and several other leaders, including MPs, were seen demonstrating the importance of wearing helmets while riding motorcycles. However, the Education Minister appeared to be setting a bad example for the public. School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav was seen riding a motorcycle without a helmet during Road Safety Week. Now, questions are being raised about the kind of education the Education Minister is providing to the public. According to statistics, a total of 6752 people lost their lives in road accidents in the state last year, of which more than 4200 were those who were not wearing helmets. The government is continuously working to raise awareness among people about this issue. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai himself is promoting the use of helmets while riding two-wheelers. On the other hand, it is only natural that questions are being raised about the kind of example the Education Minister is setting for the public.

Record breaking liquor sell on Dry Day

Revenue collection is essential for the development of any state. But when alcohol becomes the primary source of revenue, how can one envision a clean and virtuous society? We are raising this point because January 30th is observed every year as the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This day is also celebrated as Martyrs’ Day. For the past 76 years, the open sale of liquor was prohibited on this day, meaning it was declared a ‘dry day’. However, this year, liquor sales were observed even on January 30th, which is being widely protested. Our society views alcohol consumption as an evil, and statistics show that most crimes are committed under the influence of alcohol. Despite this, considering the compulsions of the governments, it can be understood that a complete ban on alcohol is difficult. But if, for any reason, the sale of liquor is stopped for even one day, what is wrong with that? For the past 76 years, liquor sales were stopped on January 30th, so what was wrong with that? If an attempt is made to control social unrest and prevent crimes for even one day, what is wrong with that? What kind of society do governments ultimately want to build? This requires contemplation and deliberation. Is the sale of liquor more important than a civilized and virtuous society? Whatever the compulsions of the governments may be, the fact that liquor sales were observed even on January 30th this year, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, shows that revenue is now considered more important than society.

Bureaucratic reshuffle after budget session

The transfer list for IAS officers will now only be possible after the budget session. The Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly’s budget session will run from February 23rd to March 20th. It seems unlikely that any transfer list will be released during this period. A much-anticipated transfer list had been expected in January, which was supposed to include changes in the postings of some district collectors and secretaries. However, due to the budget session starting in February, this has been postponed. A major administrative reshuffle is expected after the budget session.
